Thy Catafalque - Rengeteg (2011)

This chance discovery on Youtube has utterly blown me away. I daresay that Thy Catafalque, a one-man band from Hungary, is the Eastern European Opeth. He fuses black metal, prog metal, and folk into a delicious blend of beautiful and dynamic avant-garde goodness. I cannot recommend this album enough. It's the very definition of a sleeper hit.
