Hammock - Departure Songs (2012)

This band makes some of the most beautiful music I've ever heard and this mammoth double album delivers enough of that beauty to last for a lifetime. It is nice to see that they are progressing with their sound in terms of adding vocals and moving the music a bit closer to indie dreampop (think M83). At the same time there's plenty for longtime Hammock fans to appreciate. This is an absolutely spellbinding album that will leave you breathless.
