Andy Stott - Luxury Problems (2012)

This might just be the weirdest album of the year. The music sounds like Lustmord, Portishead and Nine Inch Nails being mashed up together in a blender and the result being some deformed, but strangely beautiful creation. The music is highly experimental, even avant-garde and it's extremely dark at times. It's also incredibly good, and an incredibly unique album. As far as the best electronic albums of the year go, this is certainly one of them.
