Windhand - Windhand (2012)

This is a monstrous, crushing doom album that seems heavily influenced by Electric Wizard. The vocals and riffs stomp lugubriously like the soundtrack to an occult ritual. This is certainly one of the best doom releases of this year, and should tide doom fans over until the mighty EW themselves release a new album.
