Lost in the Trees - A Church That Fits Our Needs (2012)

This is an incredibly moving album full of deep emotions, vivid lyrical imagery, and airy classical folk compositions. Ari Picker and his band are highly talented songwriters who, apparently borrowing from such bands as Radiohead and Arcade Fire, have made one of the greatest baroque pop albums of all time. This is without a doubt the best indie release of the year.
