Swallow the Sun - Emerald Forest and the Blackbird (2012)

Another fantastic doom release for 2012. Swallow the Sun might not be as heavy as Ahab or Evoken, but they more than make up for that in terms of melody and emotionality. It's their best album since their debut and, along with the new release from Daylight Dies, one of my all-time favorite melodic doom records.
