Swans - The Seer (2012)

Well I finally got around to this album, and it's quite different from The Great Annihilator (the last Swans album I reviewed/listened to). It's a lot closer to GY!BE's music in that it has a very apocalyptic feel. It's also much closer to a concept album, at least musically, than The Great Annihilator. This is definitely one of those dense albums that requires many listens to get a decent grasp of it. However, on my first listen I can tell that this is a very good record with lots of ambition and creativity behind it. I would recommend it for those who want some truly unique music to listen to.
