Grouper - Alien Observer (2011)

Now imagine if you took Grimes, slowed everything down, removed the beats, and added a lot of ambiance. That is the kind of beautiful music Grouper does. It's ethereal, droney and hypnotizing. This album is my first proper introduction to her work and it's fantastic. Her vocals carry you off into another realm. Her music is like the dark counterpart of the Cocteau Twins
