Kayo Dot - Choirs of the Eye (2003)

Coming off of the cult band Maudlin of the Well, Toby Driver continued to build his musical reputation with a complex, moody, chaotic and almost apocalyptic album that is now considered one of the best avant-garde metal albums. It's very much a rollercoaster of emotions and one of the most unique metal albums I've heard.
