Mutilation Rites - Empyrean (2012)

No, it's not a brutal death metal band (as you can see by the label I put) but you'd be forgiven for thinking it was given the uncharacteristic name. In fact, this is an occult-themed black metal band with killer vocals and even more killer riffs. It may not be the epic adventure you'd be on if you're listening to atmospheric BM, but it's a blast to listen to and headbang along with.
