Opeth - Blackwater Park (2001)
What more can be said about this piece of art, this sheer masterpiece? There are too many great moments on this album to speak of, but I will list a few:
1. the chorus and intro to Harvest
2. that riff in The Drapery Falls
3. every second of the title track
4. the solo in The Funeral Potrait
5. the first few minutes of Dirge for November
6. Mikael's vocals in Patterns in the Ivy II
And I could on, but suffice it to say that Opeth and this album helped get me into death metal and both are some of the best music ever made.
10/10
